The last update I wrote about our house renovation in the south of France was when we finished building a wall.
In the meantime, with the help of our globe-trotting family, that wall has reached many more floors and is in fact done.
On top of that, they managed to empty the entire house of its contents minus the beams and outer walls (obviously!), clean some beams and remove a concrete support in the cellar, which didn’t really do anything.
For a more “relaxing” task, they also cleaned some old tiles they recovered so we can reuse them later on. I can attest that it is in fact a gruesome activity and you could end up cleaning about one tile an hour.
I am so very grateful that they wanted to stop by in Fitou during their tour and help us with our house. They have achieved so much more than we had anticipated. Also, a humongous thanks to my mum who kept the two occupied the entirety of their stay and to Hagen who heavily invested our money in bricks and mortar.
